Order to Postpone Trustee Election

The Port Arthur Independent School District hereby postpones the Election schedule to be held on May 2, 2020 in accordance with the March 18, 2020 Proclamation of Governor Abbott, authorizing school districts to postpone elections until November 3, 2020 uniform election date.

Schools Closed Beginning March 17

Effective March 17, 2020 all facilities and campuses of the Port Arthur Independent School District will be closed until further notice. Parents and students are asked to obtain course work which will be placed on the district and campus websites. Students are encouraged to keep up with coursework while the district facilities are closed. The educational advancement of PAISD students is of utmost concern while we navigate the next several weeks. The district will update parents and staff regarding the next steps and expected reopening of the district facilities.
